Teaching Pastor — Terry Keaton

Pastor Terry studied Engineering at Beckley College, Beckley, West Virginia, Spanish at Marshall University in Huntington, WV, and Pastoral Theology at Tri-State Bible College in South Point, Ohio. He first became a full-time pastor in 1977 while attending Bible College, pastored in the ABCUSA for a number of years and did church planting for the Southern Baptist Convention. Pastor Terry served as an elder at Fellowship Bible Church in Winchester, VA until he and Pastor Bobby teamed up to establish New Hope in February of 1993.


Married to Bess since November, 3rd 1968. Two daughters, Karma Hengst and Rachel Himelright. Eleven grandchildren.

Pastor of Family Life — Bobby Stepp

Pastor Bobby attended Ferrum College and received a Associate of Arts Degree in Church Ministry from Liberty University, He was self employed, owning and operating a construction company with his father, Robert Sr, for 20 yrs. Stepp Construction did most of the construction of the building for New Hope Bible Church. In addition to being Family Life Pastor at New Hope since 1993 he has done Campground Ministry, Jail Ministry and Guest speaking.


Married Tanya on August 20th 1977. They have two Children Kristy Beaune, married to Chris and Wesley married to Brittany, Currently they have two Grandchildren but will enthusiastically embrace more.

Music: Third Day, Casting Crowns and New Hope's Praise & Worship Teams.

Books: Grace Awaking by Swindol, My Utmost for his Highest by Chambers and Biographies.

Pastor of Student Ministries — Lee Montgomery

Pastor Lee graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, with a Bachelors Degree in Religion, specialization in Youth Ministry. Since 1996, he has served in multiple areas of youth ministry, including volunteering as a part time youth leader in WV and Hagerstown, MD, and serving as church camp director at Fisher Baptist Camp in Weston, WV. While attending Liberty, Lee served as part time youth pastor at Clemont Memorial Wesleyan in Alta Vista, VA, small groups leader for the college ministry at Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, VA, and dorm prayer leader at Liberty University. After graduating from Liberty, Lee served for two years as the full time youth pastor at NorthStar Baptist Church in Bristol, VA, before being called to minister at New Hope Bible Church as Pastor of Student Ministry in September of 2007.


Pastor Lee and Jennifer met at Liberty University and were married in December of 2004. They are blessed with three super cool chiildren, Colin, Piper and Calvin.

Music: Jars of Clay, Skillet, and Flatfoot 56, along with some Country, Bluegrass, and Jazz.

Books: Radical by David Platt, On My Honor by John Ashcroft, Beyond Belief by Josh Hamilton, and any book authored by Wayne Grudem.

Movies: Sergeant York, Les Miserables, McLintock, and Rocky.

Pastor of Christian Education - Greg Stockton

Greg completed his B.A. in Biblical Studies at Evangel College, Springfield, Missouri and his M.Ed. at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. Greg has served in ministry positions, worked for the American Red Cross National headquarters and now serves homeschooling families with Classical Conversations.


Married to Shelly since November, 28th 1987. Five daughters, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Anna, Abigail and Emily.

Elder - Mike O'Neil

After spending the first 19 years of his life overseas in a State Department family, Mike joined the US Navy in December of 1980 and during a time of turmoil Jesus changed him and Mike became born again. In October of 1981 he married Tammy and they started their Family. After leaving the Navy Mike went through a carpentry apprenticeship which lead him into a 33 year career in commercial construction. Mike currently teaches singles and Young marrieds during Sunday School and Thursday nights at his home. He also teaches the Junior Youth Church during the second service. Mike has worked in numerous ministries throughout the years but finds his greatest fulfillment in Gods calling as a teacher.


Mike married his Tammy, "Gods Gift", in October of 1981 and loves her deeply. Mike and Tammy have five believing children; Jarah, Jacob, Michelle, Anthony and Sandra. There are five grandchildren and two on the way. They are blessed with wonderful believing in-laws.

Music: Contemporary Christian, Worship and anything that truly lifts up our God and Savior.

Books: Mike finds reading Gods Word all fulfilling but has enjoyed reading Jay Adams, Watchman Nee, CS Lewis and A.W. Tozer
